V-OG01 Minimally invasive oesophagectomy: Technique of linear stapled anastomosis

چکیده

Abstract Background Several anastomotic techniques have been described when performing an oesophagectomy. Each technique has its own merits and drawbacks. The stapled side to creates a widely patent anastomosis with low stricture rate. Methods This video highlights the adopted developed over last 5 years. There are several key steps that need be adhered to, create reliable, robust reproducible anastomosis. These include orientation of oesophagus during transection, use mucosal retaining sutures, 34 bougie for oesophagotomy correct retraction conduit Results was successfully performed without complications. Check endoscopy revealed secure join. typically now takes 15–18 minutes. At end procedure, cap buried under pleura wrapped in omental fat. patient discharged on day 10 residue diet. Conclusions It proved reliable rate very leak is easier perform than total hand sewn permits visualisation luminal prior

A safe and reproducible anastomotic technique for minimally invasive Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy: the circular-stapled anastomosis with the trans-oral anvil.

OBJECTIVES In expert hands, the intrathoracic oesophago-gastric anastamosis usually provides a low rate of strictures and leaks. However, anastomoses can be technically challenging and time consuming when minimally invasive techniques are used. We present our preliminary results of a standardised 25 mm/4.8mm circular-stapled anastomosis using a trans-orally placed anvil. MATERIALS AND METHODS...

Minimally Invasive Device for Rapid Urethrovesical Anastomosis

Radical prostatectomy is a common treatment for patients with prostate cancer [1]. The current surgical technique for radical prostatectomies requires dividing the urethra from the bladder in order to aid the removal of the prostate [2]. At the end of a prostatectomy, the urethra is reconnected to the bladder in a procedure known as urethrovesical anastomosis (UVA) involving suturing the urethr...

Laparoscopic minimally invasive total gastrectomy with linear stapled oesophagojejunostomy--experience from the first thirty procedures.

BACKGROUND There are only few reports on total gastrectomy by a laparoscopic surgical approach. One explanation is the fear of complications due to anastomotic dehiscence in oesophagojejunal anastomosis known to carry high morbidity and mortality. The introduction of staplers have contributed to making anastomosis safer and easier to perform and has facilitated more advanced laparoscopic surger...

Comparing open and minimally invasive surgical procedures for oesophagectomy in the treatment of cancer: the ROMIO (Randomised Oesophagectomy: Minimally Invasive or Open) feasibility study and pilot trial.

BACKGROUND Localised oesophageal cancer can be curatively treated with surgery (oesophagectomy) but the procedure is complex with a risk of complications, negative effects on quality of life and a recovery period of 6-9 months. Minimal-access surgery may accelerate recovery. OBJECTIVES The ROMIO (Randomised Oesophagectomy: Minimally Invasive or Open) study aimed to establish the feasibility o...
